V86 Emissions Recall

Was issued a long time ago, mid 2018 as I recall. Impacts your '15 but not the '19.

I don't recall (har) anyone having a power issue post flash, maybe I missed those threads. Mine seemed the same post flash.

Just had the V86 recall notice through. Well I am in the UK so I guess it has taken a while for them to catch up with all the Cats in the UK and Europe.
I have a tune from HHP. My options are not bother with the recall. Get it done but ask them not to reflash the PCM. But can I trust them not to. Or reinstall the original PCM just in case they reflash it.
Next question will my tuned PCM work with the new and presumably updated O2 sensors or will I have to get Josh at HHP to figure an update out. Thanks for your advice guys

In my opinion......LEAVE IT ALONE. It's not broken. Don't fix it.

I just got my registration notice and there is nothing mentioned about having to have recall done. I am going to register online right away and pray they don't notice.

I'd reinstall the original PCM & let them flash it, so now it's updated & correct. I'm sure HHP has an update available if it's needed by now, you should email or call them & see what they say.

I had a dealer call me about 2 months ago about the recall. I didn't answer but they left a message. If the car slows down, 02's or cats go bad then I will take it in for the recall

For anyone having issues with the tune re-flash, I was locked out of the PCM after the flash as HP Tuners didn't recognize the new OS. Since then it is now a recognized OS and everyone should be able to re-flash. If you are modified, do a read of the flash before going in (sorry diablo guys dunno how you do this), save it. Let them flash it and then re-flash in the dealer parking lot. I'd use VCM Scanner to reset all adaptives.

I’m not sure if new catalytic converters look that way out the box. My hellcat is only at 16k miles so most bolts and parts still look fairly new. I will give them a call tomorrow and verify.

Looks like onefatcat disappeared too bad I would have liked to hear the outcome.🙄

I dropped the Hellcat off for some suspension work and an oil change this morning. Some new young kid waiting on me said your car is due a recall. I told him you touch my car and someone else will be raising your children. The look on his face was priceless.

I emailed him about this issue months ago (last year) and he never responded. So when I tune the Redeye I'll not be going back to HHP.

Sometimes they do get rather busy or have filters set up. the last time I emailed Curt it may have gotten missed because I didn't get a reply however it wasn't for anything major and I didn't hold it against him.

I'd say if you are happy with the tuning I'd reach out to him again and if not there are more than a couple people that would love to earn the business

Finally decided to have this done. Went off without a hitch. Exhaust tips perfectly aligned. Car runs great. However, I noticed a small puddle of transmission fluid (M6) on the garage floor. Could be a coincidence, but is there anything the tech could have done in the process to cause this?

I'm taking it in next week to get it checked out.

I wouldn't think so being they should not of even touched the trans

I may do it next month so I can get the new parts. I would like to run the car at the track before and after doing it
