While I was behaving like an ass on a public road(in mexico) I had an excessive amount of tail wag coming out of a corner today.
Any body spln their car?
And if they did what was the circumstance?
I was on the throttle a little too much and these Pzero all seasons suck.

Yeah...got to make sure car is straight before any hard acceleration. Learned my limitations with my almost daily canyon runs. I have PS4s now and they are better than the P-zeros.

I was hoping to make the Pzeros go away but that may be coming sooner than I anticipated!
Not sure I can boil them off before the cheap bastard in me will let me replace them!
But I sure hate sliding around on these crappy tires!

It is so hick here that I think I could talk talk the local Sheriffs into closing the back road and take turns chasing each other back and forth!

Most importantly hopefully no one was looking! That's one of those embarrassing moments when you look around and hope no one saw you.

I know the tires suck.. I've gone a little better with 315 Nittos and have come to enjoy some "drifting" around corners. Stability control on or off? I leave mine on and in street mode.. The car still slides plenty with a throttle burp but never has it spun around.

What exactly do you mean by "spin"?

Have I kicked the tail out notably more than I intended? Yes... :sneaky:

Have I spun so bad I completely lost control and/or came to a stop? No.

The guy riding with me said, "You lost it back there.".

"Yeah, a little bit."

Never had that happen but I'm very gentle on the throttle when exiting turns. I've had the rear tires wiggle some to let me know they were on the edge.

I oversteered my ‘75 Trans Am on a off ramp one day and completely spun it around onto the grass but nothing close to that bad on the HC. Yet.....

I've wiggled my @$$ plenty in the regular body Hellcats. Never "ohhhh $#!t, I'm gonna die" stuff. Am anxious to get the PPF work done (scheduled for next week) on the WB so I can feel how that car manages on stock...don't puke :poop::eek::sick:...all seasons it came with. I feel tires in my very near future.

Never spun in a Hellcat, some Bull-like unintended "kicked the tail out".

Had to concentrate more in a 2004 Viper I owned back then. No nanny tech, none...just antilocks. That 500 hp beast was a wiggler! I'm talking old school 1970, especially on cold tires!

Embrace the Wiggle!

I've spun plenty... but i'm typically one searching for the ultimate limit of grip.

There's typically two ways a spin can be induced...

1) too much throttle on turn-out
2) throttle lift on turn-in

Both require a very sensitive and delicate foot.... lots of practice to search for and feel that ultimate grip... you're constantly doing a "dance" with throttle, steering angle, and car placement (line).

#1 happens because you're looking for the edge
#2 happens because you chicken out

Holly Mamba Batman...my 97 GTS coupe...went around two full turns...cold tires..and too much throttle...thank god for 6 lane highways...the cute little trollip passenger..(too stupid to be scared) thought I did it by design...said that was awesome...ended up a foot from the guard rail..stalled it facing the right way..legs were shaking for miles after that...it came around in a big time hurry...older vipers are cool...but very unforgiving...still have the car...and way more respect...

Stop throwing it around corners if you don’t know what to expect.
Otherwise make sure to be in a private area and practice it. Learn when it will let go. When you get confident you can do it on command around a corner for fun and do a small drift.
If your doing it by accident and it’s scaring you, you need to ease up a little on your cornering until you know what’s happening.
Don’t do it near traffic or during busy hours.
Best way is late at night, drive the road up and back a couple times, make sure you don’t smell bacon, and begin your practice.
Otherwise do a track day and start practicing the limits of your car in a controlled and safer environment.

I would suggest getting rid of those crappy tires immediately. It’s not exactly the culprit, because no matter what tire you put on this car it will still do it because of all the torque it has and the fact it comes on so quick.
Be careful and either practice until your pretty damn confident and good. Or just stop doing it before you put it in the wall.

Spun a 1981 280ZX Turbo (with some mild work done to it) off a hard curve on a interstate highway access road and jumped the bar ditch / divider between it and the main lanes backwards. Neither car nor myself nor the passenger were damaged (amazingly enough). It was in the wee hours thankfully. No other cars have I "spun." Well, there was a Mercury Mustang knock off (I can't remember what they were called) that a friend of mine had. We got up to about 100 on an iced over runway and yanked the wheel hard over and spun I don't know how far and finally off into the grass.

I have had mine do everything this side of a square dance. When it was new, I pulled out to pass and stepped on it like I do in my truck. Wrong thing to do. it started fish tailing like a catfish. at 70 mph. scared the crap out of me. They have a steep learning curve. LOL and hard on the BVD's
