For me I normally have it hooked up to a trickle charger, add some fuel stabilizer and would normally start it about once a month. Anyone else got some cool tips to share?

Over inflate the tires. Make sure the oil temperature gets up to a couple hundred degrees on last drive before storage, and don’t start it again until you take it out of hibernation. Startups in the meantime just contribute to moisture/condensation in the engine.

I put about 4 DampRid moisture absorbers in the Garage and put dryer sheets inside of the car and trunk.

I also set several peanut butter baited mouse traps around the garage.
BTW, if your trickle charger isn’t in fact a battery maintainer, get a maintainer.

I start at least every two weeks, if not every week and I make sure to not only get to full temp for 10-15 min, but I also vary the idle rpm.

If it's at least 40deg and dry, I'll take it around for a short drive.

Change oil and filter
Put some stabilizer in the fule tank.
Fill your gas tank
Attach a (battery maintainer)
Inflate your tires to 50 psi
Set many mouse traps and check them regularly

Don't run the car until spring.

I just stay in Fl and drive. Over the Canooks. Winter is our best time for the track.

I change the oil and filter, then park it.
Put StaBil in the tank, use a good battery maintainer (Pulsetech) every month and a half or so, and that's it.

Since I couldn't possibly get the oil up to temp without driving it somewhat hard, there's no way I'd start it unless absolutely necessary (think garage fire).

I do the exact same thing. If it is not super bad out, I pull things out and let them idle for 20 mins!

And what kind of oil temps do you usually see after 20 minutes of idling? Enough to boil off the condensation created by starting the engine cold?

12-15min gets me to full temp on water and oil, unless it's really cold, then by 20 for sure, remembering that I don't let it sit at a true idle.

Hmm. I'm not that lucky. As far as I know, none of my vehicles have ever built up good oil temp from just idling. They all seem to need to perform some actual work for the oil to get warm enough.
Air cooled engines could be an exception, but since I avoid idling anyway, I don't know for sure.

It doesn't get really cold here (-22 is the lowest I've seen), but then the 'Cat wouldn't be out anyway.
I should add that I've never tried idling it for extended periods, but when it's warm out (or even hot), it takes about eight miles of slow driving before the oil temp even starts showing on the scale.
To then get it over 212 requires a few stomps on the pedal, or climbing some decent grade.

I quit parking in a snow drift years ago. I have a heated garage cat :) Hard to condensate in a heated garage :)

That should be comparable to the car being outside in the same temperature, in which case condensation wouldn't be an issue at all when it's warm outside.
Yet it still seems to be.
