I don't know why but the last week I started researching the Porsche Panamera GTS. Has anyone ever compared our cars against the Panamera GTS? I know price wise its way more expensive and we have way more horsepower but I think the sedan looks good, especially with the spoiler deployed. Not a fan of the Sport Turismo version. They weigh about the same as our cars. Detuned TT V8 with only 453hp vs the 600hp Turbo version. Sport suspension and rear biased all wheel drive. Decent acceleration and a top end of 187. Sitting in one on the showroom floor didn't inspire me to immediately want to buy one but maybe the driving experience is what sells it. This youtube video at about 25m20s shows it going around the racecourse.

I can't get past the looks of it. Whenever I see one from the front or back I get excited and then the side view/length turns me off.

Not my cup of tea. Sure they are nice and smooth on the road. Curious what your take is when you drive it?

Agreed, I can't for the life of me see what anyone sees in the Panamera.

My two cents: My girlfriend is on her second (or maybe third) 911 Turbo S now.
It's definitely a quick, fast, and well handling car, but when she realized that my Hellcat was quicker and faster (except 0-60) she bought a Redeye.

So the Panamera is heavier, much heavier, than the 911 and has less power.
If we were to compare, it should be the 911 Turbo S against a Hellcat or Redeye. The Panamera is not in the same league.

By the way, she also has a Macan Turbo, and while it only has 400 hp, it's a smaller and much more fun car than the Panamera, I think.
Apparently, so does she, as I have suggested a Panamera a few times (the Macan is her Costco car) and she refuses.

I cross shopped a panamera for shits and giggles. Those cars, even in the base form, is at least $20k more than our hellcats and with a V6 powerplant. Hard pass. I don't have $150k+ for the Turbo S version.

Sorry, Mark, she's an only child.

I wish we had more garage space. Well, I do, but the big garage is full of, um, stuff.

Consequently, her Macan, Cayman, and Ram 3500 sits outside.
As does her Kubota UTV, John Deere Gator, Daihatsu Hi Jet (very small dump truck), and two Kubota tractors.
