Looking to buy a nice ODB2 Scanner. Would like to keep it under $500 but, considering anything reasonable at this point. Best bang for bucks.

All recommendations, special considerations, and comments would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for the ideas. Checking in to the possibilities now. Honestly, didn't even think of these bluetooth scanners to handle the basics and code clearing for starters. Probably would work well with my tablet. (big screen for old eyes)

check out the OBDLINK mx series, bluetooths to phone, computer, tablet, and works with a lot of third party apps like track addict, harry's etc...link here: http://www.obdlink.com/?gclid=Cj0KC...DGwHN8tal2BFnxgteK_QKiV4Z9GGSo9BhCK0nkPS9qGuk
Yep... I use this (OBDLink MX) on my HC Charger & the wifes Jeep TH. It works great, with the software that comes with it, as well as AlfaOBD.

I use Alfa and the MX for numerous tweaks and troubleshooting, with my Samsung tablet and my S8+ phone.

READING HAL9000 is cool, on 18+ vehicles, but if you're going to change anything, you'll need a bypass harness.
