Made a move

So Monday afternoon in Fresno CA I made a move from Hellcat to Viper. Nothing crazy but very happy with my Paxton supercharged blue and white striped 97 Viper GTS. Only 14,000 original miles on my new to me Viper. Traded in my 16 Hellcat. My two immediate observations were I’m happy to have a key with ignition again and I don’t miss the LCD screen gauges. Analog gauges are best for me. No ABS, traction, or stability control. The Hellcat was a hell of a car but I wanted a more track oriented ride that retained a classic car value.

I plan to take my time learning the car for the track and open road racing events. Additionally the car has an aftermarket triangulated hoop bar. Plan to get 5 point harnesses down the road.

Just wanted to thank all the members and administrators to this forum. I’ve spent a lot of time learning and sharing from/to others on this forum and the last one. Some pictures or it didn’t happen right?

I was up in the air, Hellcat, or Viper. In the end, the Hellcat won out, because of the type of driving I do.

Just a little over 600. The Paxton is only running about a 7 PSI pulley. Since this is a 97 engine the internals are forged and can take more boost than later cars. Car has a bunch of other engine mods like headers, a Corsa exhaust, high flow cats, etc.

Thanks everyone. I’m stoked. I’ve been wanting one for a long time. This was the right deal with 14,000 miles and the Paxton. It was the same price as a new Hellcat. I enjoy driving my cars and don’t really worry too much about the resale but this car is FUN and is somewhat collectible. I may be wrong but I highly doubt anyone will ever make anything close to a 488 cubic inch V10 again. I love the blue and white 2nd gen Vipers. Only the 5th gens look as good but are unobtainium lol. The one thing I do not have to worry about with this beast is traction! The rears are 345s! However this car is also non ABS, and non stability/traction control. Have to respect it. Eventually I plan to put a Brembo big brake kit on the car similar to the Hellcat brakes. Lots to learn.
