...I remember my Dad used to own a small white Opel station wagon way back when... (late seventies I think). It was actually a great running car and he had no issues at all with it....except for horrible gas mileage. Don't know anything about Peugeot except like Opel, they haven't sold cars in the US for decades that I know of..

And thinking about dropping the Chrysler brand sounds kinda crazy to me.

Opel was a German General Motors car back then.
