Im thinking there is very few Magnuson SC in the Hellcat community so I thought I would share my build with all of you in here.
Well I found out the hard way is that the stock 2.4L SC is not enough to feed the 426. SRT AutoWorks in Phoenix AZ has done multiple Whipple’s and 1-2 KB’s including Marc’s monster from Hell with the Whipple. So me Tommy & Marc all agreed to say... let’s try something different. So I’m like let’s do it. Quick shout out to Marc! Marc brought to my attention about the Magnuson and it’s upcoming reputation and performance.
So I had the Magnuson sent to Jokerz Performance for their full tilt race port package & it just arrived at Tommy’s shop yesterday. Car put down 954rwhp & 938tq in a 110 degrees heat on a stock blower.
Now with the Magnuson I thinking around 1100rwhp.
Had to upgrade to 1700cc injectors and a Fore triple pump system.🙄lol
That’s the VMP 105m TB. D934A870-E85F-4F6B-96AA-CFCFB3988564.jpeg 2E1260C0-BA42-44C2-9E19-256E695C648E.jpeg CC371A34-537F-4F65-83C6-8E3C89B1FBCD.jpeg 713A2A10-3293-4DA6-B59F-C6A2A3F7E003.jpeg

NIce! I am sticking with the stock super charger. FAS is porting my snout and I am getting the vmp 105 mm throttle body a little later down the road. I put down 956 with 1010 torque with the stock blower on the same dyno as you. But it was in the 80s. Not 110. You will have a monster!

Thanks alleycat. Just waiting on the triple pump fuel system to come in and away Tommy and Theo go.
Waiting to hear back from Magnuson right now. Might have to order a different cog pulley combo.
States on their web site if your pushing 1000hp plus you will need 27% over drive cog pulley . So I’m just doing my research.
Lol it never ends......
I will post up in here as the build goes on.
HPINDY thanks again for that under drive pulley!👍

From what I know about these blowers on our cars, you will find it to be a far more efficient blower than stock, one big indicator will be the iat’s at the beginning and end of the run.
You will have much less heat soak than stock and the blower will just be plain more efficient.
Down here in florida we have an 8 second demon sporting one of these blowers. It runs 8’s blower only.

your going to love it, I hope everything runs perfect.
Make sure to data log and show us some of the figures before and after.

The shop is going to have serious hp cars with each of the supercharger choices. They have a new Redeye with ported/big TB 2.7 that is low nines now and looking for more. My 4.5 Whipple at 1200whp. A 4.9 KB that we’re waiting on dyno results from Barth (he actually had the car towed back to Tim for hands-on tuning). And now this killer Maggie setup. At some point we’re all going to be at the track together. That will be fun!

I agree with this to a degree. The big issue is over spinning them too much . I only have a 10% O/D lower and make 17 psi . On a normal day my IAT's acutelly drop . ( I have data logs to back this up) my MAT ( manifold air temperature). On goes up about 20F and drop rapidly as soon as the run is over .
When you over spin them you go way out side their efficiency range .

Hey whip
I believe that demon with the magnuson was built by gearhead if I’m not mistaken.
Anyway do you know what cog pulley and SC pulley set up he is running?
Also if there is a 10% lower as well.
I have the 10% lower and trying to figure out what cog pulley set up I need to get for the 27% over drive combo witch is required on Magnuson’s website for car over 1000hp.
Thanks

ok Just got off the phone with Magnuson and recommended the 3.49 SC pulley it comes with and for my set up and mods they recommended the 27% over drive cog pulley set up to start out with and go from there. Ordered it and it’s on its way!🙄lol

yeah the owner is a good dude and races the hell out of his car. He has a nice nitrous shot added now.

I don’t know his specific setup wish I could help out

if you wanna call gear head and talk shop I’m sure they wouldn’t mind giving some advice

correct. I agree as well. Over spinning causes lots of heat. But they have spun this blower to 25 psi and higher and it still doesn’t produce as much heat as the stock blowers.

With nothing else to do (all my much needed track time has been cancelled) I am dying to see this thing get going. I saw it while at the shop last week and it is a beautiful piece. Tommy said it will be on next week and tuning will start. The unknown at this point is the drivability tuning and whether it is going to be easy or a challenge. This is the first for them so fingers are crossed. I suspect that we’ll see some big numbers on the dyno. At least 1100 for sure. I can’t wait!
