Not sure if this is the best place for this, but if there's a better forum topic to put this in, please let me know!
So has anyone received this emissions testing offer? Where they want to take your hellcat for 5-8 weeks for testing to comply with government regulations, for $500 payment?
I don't have a problem with the offer, but I do have a problem with the vehicle they're offering for us to use in the meantime...they don't specify, but I called them the last time I received this offer, and they pretty much said it would be a "generic" car (probably a base-level Journey or something)...that doesn't work for me! If you're driving my $70k+ car, I expect something similar in return!
And it seems like a good marketing opportunity...give me a chance to get an extended test drive in a Durango Hellcat or Trackhawk...and I might like it enough that I need to trade in my Explorer ST (daily) for one. I know, there'd be concern about what kind of condition they'd get the car back in, but you're dealing with hellcat owners here, so they know how to handle the power, and they could sign an agreement or two, etc.
I'm sorry, but for me, just $500 or frankly, even $1000 is not enough for you to do who knows what to my precious, without an "equal" vehicle to drive in the meantime.
