cam upgrade...or maybe not?

The tuner thats trying to tune my car is good and I know this but he can only work with what he has...He and I both think the car isn't stock maybe a light cam upgrade but just not sure. The tuner is doing the best he can with what info he has....I've been working on cars since the early 70's Is there anyway other than tearing the engine down to know if it's cammed? I have thought about measuring exhaust and intake lift but you would have to be so precise to know anything. I'm not a tuner so I'm not sure if there's anything you can do with the tune that would point in the right direction

I take it the headers were on the car also when you bought it? Why do you want them off?

yes sir you are right...the tuner seems to think that maybe something under the car could be bumping under it and causing the fuel trims to sway so to speak

He has sent me the tune with the fuel trims pretty close but when I go from 1500rpm's to 4000 in 4th gear pull it's dropping boost and retarding the timing to much...

yes sir I just went with demon injectors...the guy tuner said they would be enough if I didnt do any more to the car...I guess only time will tell
