Bad ass boat Donzi Supercharged

I had the fortune of a couple of beautiful blondes in bikinis knock on my door and ask me to go out on the boat with their father. It was a “Dave’s Custom Boats” catamaran with twin Whipple charged big blocks… I had only ever been on slow bass boats before that.

Coming from someone who has ridden in the back of a boat at 120mph… it feels like 200. On the Niagara River nonetheless. One hand holding the headset down on my head and the other firmly wrapped around the oh shit handle between my legs. With just the pilot and co-pilot it does 148mph at the poker run up here in NY. When we got to Woodlawn beach I offered to pay for the gas in the boat for taking me out, he laughed at me and said just buy a few pizzas and beer and we are even. I had no idea the gallons per minute those boats went through at full tilt… damn.

Back in the late 80's I had a 30ft V bottom that did 90..(crawling by today's standards)...I was supposed to be on John Buyers Cat for that poker run...If I'm not mistaken his cat does 148 on GPS...(even back then @ wot supercharged 572 cu marine engines..1.5 gal. per mile)
