Any news on the Viper?

So, will they make a new Viper? I have always wanted to own one, have been kinda waiting to see if they come back into production.

I hope they do but I seriously doubt it. It would have to come back as a much different car to actually sell well. Personally, I've always loved those cars but never was a fan of the v10. Viper with an aluminum supercharged hemi would be sick.

I think the lack of sales was directly attributed to the ADM. There was nothing wrong with the car or the MSRP, it was the $40k over I was seeing at dealerships.

I’ve been looking at 2nd gen 96 to 99 GTS Vipers for awhile now. They seem to retain their value pretty well but damn I can’t get over the horsepower difference with our Hellcats! I want one but not sure I’m willing to give up my Hellcat. A Paxton Novi supercharger kit for those 2nd gens would be north of 600 HP for around 9,000??? That’s just the kit. I’m not sure I love Vipers that much more than my Cat?

Corvette sales are also spurred by the ladies. Can be a pretty driver friendly car depending on trim level. Vipers were too much to handle for most of them so FCA would have to really think about design to reel the gals money in.

ADM was maybe a first year issue. From 2014 on you could buy any one you wanted for sticker or less. In fact, even in 2017 we bought ours for under Invoice, without any struggle.

In 2017 I bought my HC and it was sitting by a $140k Viper. Didn’t think they were worth that much (and neither did anyone else,lol).

Yeah, about that... ACR-E all the options checked. Sold it for 5K more than I bought it. Extreme isn't even close. Both the B5 and "BITTEN" are gone. Supercar wasn't even close. I can say I owned the best Dodge had to offer in 2016.

I don't see Dodge doing anything close to the last gen Viper in a while. Challenger , I think is their Halo car. No need to compete with comparable out there with market shrinking. My 02.

I dont recall high, if any ADMs when my wife & I dealer shopped them in 2016. In fact one strong candidate (metalic grey/black GTS) was $84k which if memory serves me, was like $10k under msrp at the time.
I came "t h i s" close to trading my then near zero miles 15 in for it.
There was a time,when they simply stopped selling. Its a shame too. Hind sight and all.
I doubt the new direction dodge is said to be taking, includes a Viper, least not a V10 manual...2x turbo V6/A8 or hybrid thereof. maybe.
A 5th gen ACR in stryker green is on my bucket list, if anyone has one laying about that they dont want anymore..lol

Gorgeous car and color combo! I've always had it bad for a 5th gen, specifically in a TA 1.0.

Probably an ACR. Those were worth that much. Some of the special edition ones are going for a lot more than that now. But keep trying

Probably an ACR... that was sitting there not selling. Sure, that's possible. I don't recall because I wasn't interested in it and based on how long it was sitting there many people may have felt the same way. Don't be upset because of my experience, be happy because of yours.
