Decided on a replacement for Go Man Go

I could but what I could tell you is the tube is hot as hell without the shield by touch and with the shield in place, it’s the same temperature as the inlet air. Without the shield the tube has 200F air from the radiator blowing on it, yea, it gets about that hot without the shield, especially...

Decided on a replacement for Go Man Go

2016, yes, MAF sensor. Yes, they sell them, I’ve heard they want around $600 for the box, tube, coupler, seals, new hose and sensor mount for clean side PCV. They match up perfectly to the bottom air intake port as well, and the headlight intake tube too, nice fit. Mine came with a huge filter...

Even better now with proper length coupling and doughnut gasket on the intake tube to box, totally sealed. The Pyrol shield keeps it all cool too. UPR remote mount, their the best in my opinion, and I tried a few

Decided on a replacement for Go Man Go

Whipple, it’s getting the right silicon coupler fitted tonight and the cowl parts put back on. It has one of my Pyro heat shields underneath it, which, by the way, I have about 10 or 15 to distribute if anybody wants any let me know

Dry, just like we get it at work. Don’t waste your time on compression testing, do leak down test instead, tells you more. I use 2309’s gapped to .018”, I see very few miss fires recorded, none during WOT periods. Cylinder 8 seems to have the most, seems that way in allot of logs I’ve looked...

lean would turn into a miss after the plug tips where gone, like pictured lol

Agree on both. And I don’t know why they’ve never perfected using the bypass valve to control boost. They can do it when Injector duty cycle gets past a certain amount. Why can’t they do it when it boost gets past a certain amount and tie that in with fuel used or even knock? Traction control...

Decided on a replacement for Go Man Go

Those plugs are typical of what happens with too much boost and timing for the fuel octane being fed to the engine. ie what @Speedy was saying he was seeing in logs running 93 with his 170. Just because the PCM is programmed/tuned to remove timing when it’s seeing knock i.e. detonation, doesn’t...

    3.8 whipple

A Whipple 3.875” is the biggest pulley Whipple says will fit on the 3.8, any bigger hits the snout which is already recessed for the 3.875. I had their 3.875 for my 3.8 and it was tight to the snout.

Billet inlet plate for 2.7 IHI Supercharger

Port matched plate to snout and opened snout up to 108mm. Heated plate to 275F for an hour and it dropped right on the bearings and dowels, perfect fit. Checked rotor relation and timing, looks perfect. Coupling is pinned to the rotor shaft, have to do the same to the snout. Filled with 8oz...

    3.8 whipple

That’s when I threw in the towel with Whipple, I sold the warranty replacement while it was still new in the box.

    3.8 whipple

My last Gen 6 3.8 lasted less then 100 miles, 3-4 street pulls and 3 4th gear dyno pulls and the rotors ate each other and the housing this time too!! +10 ATI lower and 3.50 Satera CLUTCHED UPPER PULLEY and it still failed!! Dusted my engine so bad with aluminum dust the oil sample analysis...

Do you clean under your car?

I WD40 the entire underneath, wheel wells, exhaust system, everything, and wipe it down with rags once or twice a year, looks almost like new yet under there. WD 40 the rim barrels too, it takes everything off including road tar.

    Big Crank shaft

5.6 oz of fuel per piston per stroke at WOT, must be using ID 1,000,000 injectors lol

    3.8 whipple

Read through these 33 pages and decide for yourself what to do. Me, I’d wait for Gen 7 https://www.hellcat.org/threads/gen-5-whipple-3-0-issues-and-failures.255669/
