IMS bearing. Not a problem on more recent Porsches I think.

Surely that car won't sell for $65k. My goodness. I have my eyes on getting a C8 in addition to my car when I retire soon, but if a GT4 with good mods in good shape is cheaper I dont know if I'd choose a C8.
Look up Cat Creations. They have a plug and play kill switch. I know you now prefer an immobilizer, but I don't like the idea of someone else doing an install and me not being able to know how to uninstall if I so choose at a later date, or not being able to get in and disable it if something...
I had a '86 GLH Turbo for 14 years from new. At the time I worked at Comp Cams and did the cam for their Super 60 kit. I built up my car with a Turbo II conversion I got off Shelby in Whittier, CA for super cheap and got a little over 300 HP based on similar combinations like the Super 60 kit. I...
I can't sell mine either because it's the first car in my life I've ever spec'd, ordered and watched it get built . . . and it's purple. It has it all.
On top of that my wife tolerates it and it makes me smile every time I drive it.
I can't imagine selling it and starting with car payments...
@DGatzby , if 2ndGen doesn't end up taking the rotors, I never mind having spares. If they're still usable, I'd love to come by and take a look. That is if you'll be in the Minneapolis area again sometime soon.
I guess I don't check in frequently enough. Looks like a strange thread here. I know I can't do that to my Girodiscs. Tried a lot but no success. ;)
Heck, I even run high friction track pads that send more heat to the rotors and titanium backers and ACR calipers with titanium pistons that lessen...
Yep, the initial service guy made sure to mention programming the extra key was not included in the TSB, but they gave it to me for free. He then followed it up with, "Please try to give us a 10 out of 10 when you get the survey." 😉
1 service guy told me since it's a TSB it's not free and would be about $190 a few minutes after I sat in the waiting room. I told him I wanted my keys back and would find another dealership that would do this for free. Within about 2 minutes after I was walking to my car, the service manager...
Got the TSB performed this morning finally. I also bought one of Speedy's red keys beforehand and had it paired to my car, so now I have 3 red keys and 1 black. Speedy's key lives on for another car now.
No charge for anything today.
I have heard of Drone Mobile but didn't realize it's a modular system that can be installed with IGLA too. How much is that system installed without IGLA?
Just wanted to say this is an extremely useful thread for me. Lots of ideas to help me sleep better at night. 😴
I have been with State Farm for decades and have noticed before their rates for me with quite a few vehicles and homeowners don't seem very bad. It's the KBB that has me worried. As...
I suppose it's time I give them a call. I use them for track day insurance. Maybe there is some kind of combo insurance for street and track and agreed value.
Has anyone here had a Compustar alarm installed? I'm curious how expensive it is and any downsides people may have noted. I like the additional sensors and the Drone capability. Not sure I'll go that far yet but I'd like to know how the price compares to IGLA.
