Max RPM display

Is there a way to read the maximum RPM that was reached. Im curious because i accelerated heavily to get on the freeway and I was in manual mode to get moving. I was shifting it and the last shift was delayed when I had to get past a truck changing lanes.. don’t know if I over revved.

FYI, They work in first but can be slow to react relative to the engine acceleration, especially if you've done any tuning and/or mods.

Hey thanks for the info. I don’t recall the gear but good to know that info. Still bone stock here. I wish I could see a number to settle my thoughts. This was 3 days ago. And now I have a ticking sound on first start. Wasn’t there before. It goes away and doesn’t change with engine speed.

Try changing oil, don't know how many miles you have on it, but sometimes spirited driving will break it down a little...my .02

I've pinged the rev limiter a few times in my 707 car. Not saying it's good for the engine, but never had an issue for the 10,000 miles that I owned it.

If you want to datalog your car you just need this device and a laptop to hook up to it. No credits required to datalog. It will show you RPM and if you hit a sort of limiter like fuel cutoff.

I got one the limiter one instance for a few seconds when giving a joyride entering the freeway and "forgot" to shift in manual mode like a dumbass. Hemis are tough! If it's running good afterwards, don't worry about it.
