Dave and I have ran @ Road America together. He has great break away speed in the straights but I run a good 10 seconds faster per lap with a stock car. Sports cars make up the time in the corners. Really only an amateur would get to 135 MPH. Were you afraid to put your foot in it? We would get to 155 - 160 in the straights @ Road America with our asses on fire.
You pricks need to watch your mirrors at 130 because you know who wants to come around before the next corner and drive the flag workers nuts! :p That is where the Hellcat is fun. It just pulls like a train. Hope my new motor gets me closer than ten seconds next year. I need my wingman to show also! Be there darn it, it is big fun driving with ya.

Didn’t mean to be rude but just saying the truth. I like the participants on here and want to hear the escapades about their Hellcats, and SRT’s but kind of glaze over when we start bringing up Fords, especially trucks (sorry Stormy and CC), Chevys and foreign cars. Exotics are definitely cool but I’m a Mopar guy. Nothing much more interesting than a factory 10 second or better 700+ HP Mopar! Just saying…
Def agree with this (and I'm a Chevy fan). I also just don't get when they constantly compare a 3, 4, even 700K! exotics to a Hellcat. What does that have to do with anything imho.
Not knocking your post at all to @Magnified . I actually find your stuff some of the most interesting/informative here. This goes into the category of alternative stuff. It's the comparisons that bother me. The apple's to oranges. The complete tangent on another manufacturers offerings and the yatta yatta yatta about it. If there's a comparison that's pertinent to the subject at hand I get it. Example: "Well Dodge does it like this but Ford has it this way" type of thing . But to just constantly go off about other manufactures and how much you love all their stuff, what's that got to do with Hellcatforum.org?

Not sure how any Audi was mentioned in the same paragraph with the word reliable. My advice if you're absolutely stuck on an Audi is to dump it before the warranty is up. Seriously.

If you like the RS3 look into the TTRS.. I honestly think they look cooler. Both cars are a bit tight on room.. I roll raced a modded TTRS before they’re fast. The Redeye beat him by a car 50-120 then the Audi overtook with the turbos

This is the Audi you should buy ;)(They bought the company in 1998)

The RS3 is a great car to daily drive if that's the route you want to go, repairs aren't as bad as it seems if can find a quality euro shop. Not so much with the Gallardo unless you do 90% of work yourself :p

Maybe check out the new R8 V10, shared motor with a Lamborghini Huracan. They make 1100whp with just bolt ons on stock motor!!

There'd be no warranty on this thing since it would be modded out. And I'll eat the cost for any interior stuff that takes a dump. The trans and motor would both be built up. But nothing is certain anyway. Just slayed by the performance of that AWD four door five cylinder.

Like the RS3 better (and that's not saying much - I don't care for either cars look). The modded performance is what caught my attention. The TTRS can be built into a flat out monster, but I'm just not into the look at all (sort of a muscular VW Beetle?). But, as mentioned before, I do love going into Audi dealerships and yelling "Show me your TTs!"

i think that is bomb.gif

All true, but the entry level price is too steep. Though I will swipe one of those OLIO caps from the Lambo next time I'm in the dealership.

Hello Magnified! I always enjoyed reading your posts. Take your time and get what will make you happy. If it's an R3, go for it. If the maintenance costs are a concern, lease it for the duration of the warranty. Good luck with your decision and let us know what you decide on.

If get it, would be used 3 or 4 year old RS3 with full Izon kit (ship car to them immediately after short shake down cruise).

As noted I hate the looks but but full interior, ac, daily driver that runs mid high 8s on track and pulls 100 to 200 in 3.1 seconds

EDIT - that sentance did not finish "As noted I hate the looks but but full interior, ac, daily driver that runs mid high 8s on track and pulls 100 to 200 in 3.1 seconds outweighs other cost considerations"

No worries.

I've owned more Mopars than anything else, but Fords do have to be a close 2nd in number. Hell, I've owned just about everything from the old days except a Pontiac or a Buick. In the early 80's you could buy all of the old muscle cars for $500 - $1000 all day long. I really got into Fords in the mid-late 80's because they had V8 powered fun cars and Mopar had nothing to offer then.

I think plenty of members here have vehicles other than modern Mopars and it doesn't bother me when people discuss them.

This is why with Audi in general, the best you do is lease and walk away at the end ...

I know different motor but still.

Cant mod the lease. Much more comfortable with the used. Then can go hog wild if desired and you do not have to worry about what you do to the motor (good or bad) from a contract perspective. Not paying for a new one, just to rip it.

Also, please note edited post above.

El Rico from IRB, Fl traded his red eye in for a Lambo at the cost of $250,000. He will receive it in 2022. Sum time. Delivered to Sarasota with no mark up from MSRP. Company policy. How do the sales people make any $$$. According to Rico, lucky if the sales people even show up for work. Why wood they??

Yeah we know. We're just afraid that you'll eventually abandon us for audiRS3forums.org or whatever they have and never see you here again [drinking]

A previous post somewhere here mentioned the cars most reliably, cheaply, and consistently able to be made fast in the modern era. I think you have to include the RS3 in there. With a kit, you can drop it into consistent 8.3 territory with full interior, AC, and still daily it. If you go a little farther out with weight reduction they can drop into the 7s without too much trouble. The full interior daily ran 100-200 mph at Texas 2k this year in 3.1, which for a daily mod-kit car is pretty amazing to me. 60-130 was 3.8 if I remember correctly. Especially from that tiny mill. If they could get a similar range of performance form an S8 I'd be in like flint. While I am quite impressed with the RS3, I think it's just too small for me probably.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the Charger HC, and if it was AWD and easy enough to tweak like this, I'd be right back in one.

Tossed a few vids with Izon cars below, if you're interested.

Man where have I been...thought you bought a tesla months ago.

He blew up his supercharger, and the pieces took out the engine. Dodge did him right, and replaced it all.
This new engine pulls a lot better than the original did.

First time ever…I was in the “Novice” group…but that Camaro could not pass me:cool:! It was a learning experience and a chance to really get to know the car. I recommend everyone with a Hellcat should try a track day somewhere.
