I just started getting a pop up today on the new car that data may be transmitted in accordance with driver acceptance or something like that along with the obey traffic laws. Just started the last 2 days, never popped up before. So CYA it appears

apparently, you can go onto Lexis Nexis to stop the data transfer. Is it a Dodge product?

All major industries use LexisNexis data. ALL of them. Good luck protecting any of it…

And don’t think for a second that your auto manufacturers aren’t getting data in return, they are.

Everything you do goes to a 3rd party to be sold and resold.

LOL except Dodge for now, maybe with the new electric cars and the whole Stelantis state of mind. I just checked with them the dodges can be accessed after a wreck for black box info.

Yes they do - https://www.driveuconnect.com/connectedservices/privacy.html#:~:text=Driving data: we collect driving, data; seatbelt status; information about

Edit - if they weren’t sharing it they wouldn’t have an opt-out page, lol.

They collect and share EVERYTHING. I don’t know who you “checked with” but you sign your life away once you sit on the seat (where it collects your weight, for biometric purposes). For example, if they really wanted to know who was driving, they wouldn’t just know that your key was used and your phone was connected… you could be passenger after all, well, they know if your ass was in the seat or not too.
They’re all doing it. Who they are selling it to is a separate matter entirely.

There is enough data out there, on the market, to not only see where you’ve been, who you talked to on the way there… but also what you did while you were there. It’s pretty easy for me to use geo data to trace the car, further use it to follow your phone after your parked… but I can use your purchase data to see what you bought while you were there. Your purchase is tracked by no fewer than 2 parties - the point of sale and your financial institution. If you posted about it online before or after the purchase, what sort of comment you left and what sort of response you got. I can use all of that to influence future behaviors. The people with the data (and the money to buy it) know everything they need to know.

That affects your use of the service, not the way they use it.

That would be true for the HC (in '16 you had to actively opt-in via Guardian), but not sure about the S/S. I know for a fact that anything from '23 forward came with their Dodge connected services (read as tracking) ACTIVE by default. Guardian needed to be activated & added a 2nd layer of spying & reporting.

Log on to the MOPAR garage website & add your cars (if you have not already done that). If the miles shown are the miles at the last service, then connected services is inactive. If the miles reflect your current ODO reading (within a day or so) then they are tracking you !

I have no idea what model year/date (1/1/23 ??) the Dodge Connected Services thing began shipping on the cars, but it was installed & active on my '23 DDSRT.

Are we to assume you are one of those drivers that demonstrate a wanton disregard for V&T laws...:unsure::unsure:
