No they are Canadian
This is the second time they did RE v ZL1 only this time its a 1LE

Drag race the RE just drives right on bye
Road course the 1LE is 5 or 6 seconds quicker around the track

Both stupid fun cars they just cater to different groups

Agree that both are fun cars intended for different customers but just swap out the WB tires for some soft ones like the 1LE comes with and you'll drop at least 3 seconds per lap. Driver and /or a faster speed road course can easily make up the rest.

That's what I am saying. Put them on identical tires. Give them some road racing tires and some drag radials for each test. You could see how badly the RE spun with all it's torque in the drag test. It spun bad enough the Camaro was ahead for a bit until the RE pulled it on the top end. That and swap drivers, let both drivers run both cars.

Nope. The 1LE has Goodyear F1 Supercar R compound tires. You know what our factory Pirelli tires are like.

I turned it off after the drag race. If I wanted a road track car I would have bought a Porsche.

I never understand that. Unless you bought this car to trailer to a drag strip and back home why wouldn't you care about its capabilities when you turn the steering wheel?

I mean really JC, you need to cut us some slack. I have not been to a strip with it yet. I read all the drag race and horsepower adder threads. TD and I enjoy the handicap! We have found a home where is really is possible to keep up. It’s a blast.

Well said! Not to disrespect anybody but if you say that the Dodge Challenger Hellcat is a straight line car only then you have never driven a car to its performance limitation. You gotta know how to DRIVE a car. And what I mean by that is how to (set up a car) drive INTO and OUT of a turn. Things like speed, trail breaking, Weight transfer, race line, Apex and back to speed. So for those who care, the Hellcat is a car you can take to a road course and impress. You just got a know how to DRIVE.

I definitely think you could take a Hellcat on a road course and have a lot of fun. I think that if you drove it well you would do much better than a driver that did not. However, if your passion was road racing, this car probably wouldn't be at the top of the list. I want a fun muscle car, driven mostly on the street, that can also take the kids to school, get groceries and be comfortable for longer trips. Charger Hellcat was the answer. As soon as I win the loto though, going to get all kinds of cars that might fit specific functions better. Should probably actually buy a ticket now and then...

I went to a drag strip twice, ran a 10.9 and figured that was enough. We all have our passions.

It’s no different on a road course. Yea you’ll have a great time but to be competitive you got to modify. I’m happy just the way the car is. I can do both. Drag and Road and have fun doing both.
